Projects
The villages that we build generally include multiple homes, a church, a school, and a clinic. Below is a summary of the projects we are currently working on.
Current Project
To develop a village in Brisas del Este, Dominican Republic, for orphaned and abandoned children, with a school leveraged for additional children in dire need. Our target is for this village to support 300 children.
Goals
- Develop the village.
- Temporarily fund the day-to-day needs of the children for a period of 3 years.
- Make the village sustainable via economic and agriculture development within 3 years.
Project Update
- LAND: The first priority will be to find land.
- HOMES: When the land is established, we would put in 10 children’s home for 100 children (10 children and “momma” in each home).
- SCHOOL: We would want to build a school for 300 children (100 orphaned and abandoned children in our residential care; 200 children in the community whose caretakers cannot afforded day-to-day care or school, but who are blessed to have parents or caretakers). The school will have a feeding program, with each student receiving one (1) nutritious meal per day.
- CAFETERIA: We would also build a cafeteria for the children’s homes and school.
- ONGOING CARE: Prior experience is that it costs $30 dollars per child per month.
